Presentation Abstract
International Schools are new and unique job setting for the Athletic Trainer. This presentation, Finding Value in COVID, will provide examples of additional roles and responsibilities for the international school athletic trainer. The presentation will also discuss minimum requirements to be become an Athletic Trainer in the setting, preferred qualifications, and how COVID has affected the job market for Athletic Trainers in the setting.
Presenter BIO
Randen Morisako has been the Athletic Trainer at the International School of Beijing since 2017. He serves as the first Full-Time Athletic Trainer at the school. His previous international experience includes an internship with the Institute of Western Surgery as an outreach athletic trainer in Beijing and as the athletic trainer for the US Virgin Island Men’s Basketball team.
