The learning objectives of this presentation are to help athletic trainers better support the emotional response to injuries and give mental training techniques to enhance rehabilitation and return to sport.
Kadie Riverin, M.Sc., B.Ed., C.S.P.A has over 20 year's experience in sport as an athlete, teacher, coach and trainer. Currently, she is a Health and Physical Education and Sport Science teacher and coach at the Canadian International School of Hong Kong. Additionally, she is studying to obtain a second M.Sc. in Sport and Performance Psychology to become a Mental Performance Consultant.
Kadie's own sport experience includes playing elite level basketball at Rice University, for Team Canada and professionally in Europe. Since retiring from sport, Kadie has coached basketball at the high school and university level.
